How to be saved?

STEP 1

Recognize God’s Love and His Desire to Save You

God’s starting point is love. He created us for relationship with Him and wants us to experience eternal life with Him. His love is personal, unconditional, and available to everyone (John 3:16).

STEP 2

Sin Separates Us from God

Every person has sinned and fallen short of God’s standard. Sin creates a real separation between us and a holy God, and we cannot fix this on our own (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23). Recognizing this truth is the first step toward forgiveness and restoration.

STEP 3

Believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

Jesus is God’s solution to our separation. Through His death and resurrection, He paid the price for our sin and opened the way for us to be forgiven and reconciled to God (John 14:6; Romans 5:8). Believing in Jesus means trusting who He is and what He has done for you.

STEP 4

Repent & Turn Away from Sin and Turn Toward God

Repentance means having a sincere change of heart. It’s choosing to leave behind your old way of life and follow God’s way instead (Acts 3:19; Luke 13:3). This isn’t about perfection but a genuine decision to walk in a new direction.

STEP 5

Confess and Receive Jesus Personally

Salvation isn’t just knowing about Jesus; it’s personally trusting Him and declaring your faith. When you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, you receive His gift of eternal life and become part of God’s family (Romans 10:9–10).

STEP 6

Live as a New Creation

Salvation is the beginning of a transformed life. God places His Spirit within you, helping you grow in faith, live in obedience, and reflect His love to the world (2 Corinthians 5:17; Matthew 4:19). This new life includes prayer, reading God’s Word, community with other believers, and sharing your faith with others.
