I live because of His resurrection

Jesus not only conquered death, but He also opened the way for us to live in a completely new way. The Bible says that we should consider ourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:11). That means that what once dominated us no longer has the final say. Because of His great love, God made us alive together with Christ, even when we were far from Him (Ephesians 2:4–5), not because of anything we did, but because of His grace.

And Jesus Himself said, “I am the resurrection and the life” (John 11:25), showing that true life is not just something we receive, but someone in whom we abide. Today you can live with that truth: you are not defined by what was, but by the new life He has already placed within you.

Where there was once death, now there is life; where there was guilt, now there is grace; where it seemed like the end, God has begun something new.

The resurrection not only conquered death, it also gave you a new life today.

Live this day remembering that you are no longer under the control of what once dominated you. Walk with the assurance that God is making all things new in your life.

Father, thank you because in Christ I have new life. Help me to live each day according to this truth, leaving behind what no longer defines me and walking in the newness you have created in me. Amen.
